Webkinz are plush pets that come with a special computer code that gives the user access to the online Webkinz World.  There are more than 60 different kinds of Webkinz animals, including dogs, horses, cats, frogs, bears, and even mythical animals like the Pegasus.

In Webkinz World, you’re able to take care of your animals by playing games, earning money (Kinz Cash) and meeting other Webkinz animals, and they’re owners, of course!

Be careful, though, because just like real animals, Webkinz need to be fed, cared for, and played with in the online world. In fact, you’ll be able to tell by looking at the Happiness, Health and Hunger meters when you log on .

You can feed your Webkinz animal by spending KinzCash on food. You can also make sure your Webkinz animal gets some rest at night by putting your Webkinz in its bed at night. Here’s another hint: bathing your animal is another way to keep it healthy and happy!

If you don’t feed your pet or keep it active, your Webkinz animal can become ill. But don’t worry, because you can always bring it to the Clinic, and buy some medicine to make it better. A note to parents: Webkinz animals never die, but accounts can become deactivated if you don’t login ever 3 months or so.

Lastly, when you buy a Webkinz plush animal, you might wonder — how do I know this is the real thing?  Just look to the bottom of each animal’s paw has a multicolored “W”.  All of the latest ones have this marking, although some of the older Webkinz might be mising them.
