Yoinks! Ganz, the company that makes Webkinz, has been served a class-action lawsuit by a store in California named “Nuts for Candy”, saying that the way Ganz has forced stores to order NON-Webkinz FIRST, before applying to become a Webkinz seller.
How much are stores required to purchase? About $1000 of non-Webkinz items that Ganz sells (which, if you’re not familiar, includes other plush toys, fragrances, bags, and international homeware).
“Nuts for Candy” is saying that what Ganz is allegedly doing is against certain US laws, and makes it difficult for some stores, as they’re forced to pay for a lot of stuff that might not sell, and take away space in their store for stuff that does. Part of what makes things unfair is that after paying for $1000 of non-Webkinz stuff, there’s no guarantee that their application to sell Webkinz stuff will be approved.
No word yet from Ganz as to what they think of this issue.

Webkinz deserves to be sued! You need to pay to have fun and that is not right. Webkinz do their best to ciphen money and Im sick of their nonsense! I hope they get sued for a trillion dollars. One trillion dollars is probably what they make in one day.
